Stories our culture tells us are EVERYWHERE. Billboards, social media, Netflix, even the architecture of your local mall tells a story. These stories subtly but powerfully shape our identities and values. They can influence what we believe without us even being aware of it! Becoming mindful of the stories we are being told is the first step to thoughtfully evaluating them. This session will overview some of the popular stories we are faced with in our culture and why they’re so tempting to believe. How do we go about uncovering some of the hidden assumptions behind these stories and how do they stand up to God’s Big Story as told in the Bible?
