Kaleo Leadership
At it's core, the Christian faith is a call (or καλέω (kaleō) in Greek) to follow Jesus in all spheres of life. The Bible describes this commitment as discipleship, a blend of a lifelong apprenticeship and ongoing spiritual formation. Jesus himself told his leaders to always make this a major priority (see Matthew 28).
Much of what we do at The Table revolves around trying to connect the dots between spiritual life and practical life, and we've heavily invested in this way to nurture our leaders. We call it Kaleo: a Call to Gospel Formation.
Kaleo is composed of monthly gatherings (Kaleo Monday Nights), occasional all day teaching workshops (Kaleo Blitzes), small accountability & fellowship groups of 2-4 people (DNAs), a Super Awesome Annual August Getaway (Kaleo Leadership Retreat), and a tool to help us discern and commit to growth in the Christian Life on an individual level (Personal Discipleship Plans).
If you haven't already, make sure you check out the Origins class, our intro to the Gospel, The Table, and what it means to be a Christian.
Our typical year of Kaleo commitment involves the following:
Monthly Kaleo Monday Gatherings (meal and childcare included)
2 Kaleo Blitzes/year (Typically a Saturday 4-6 hour training event - but can also be a non-Table offering)
Commitment to a DNA (Discipleship, Nurture, Accountability) group
Regular attendance at The Table (BT & NT)
