Christianity claims that the Bible is a reliable witness to God’s words and actions in history and that He acted and spoke definitively in Christ. More than this, God still acts and speaks to us through the Scriptures. But to anyone not growing up in a Christian or religious setting, and even then, these claims can seem unreasonable and based in fantasy. What does the Bible actually claim and why should we trust that it is a reliable witness? And if it is reliable, how do we go about understanding the Bible as God’s Word for us today? The Academy will explore the depth and breadth of the biblical witness and equip us to become more responsible and engaged readers of the Bible!
