Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent in the church calendar.

Join us for a mid-week worship gathering on Wednesday, March 5, at 7:00pm. This week is a special Ash Wednesday Service. Come for a quiet and contemplative evening of prayer and music.

What is Lent?

Lent is a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and repentance observed by many Christian traditions in preparation for Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday. The 40 days (not counting Sundays) symbolize the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11).
